PREDICT-6G hosts its kick-off meeting in Madrid
The 10th and 11th of January, the PREDICT-6G consortium met in Madrid to host its kick-off meeting. Two fruitful days used by the members of the team to set the roadmap to achieve the goals of the coming months.
The meeting marked the official start of this ambitious project funded by Horizon Europe, under the Smart Networks and Systems Joint Undertaking (SNS JU). 30 months of work begin in which PREDICT-6G aims to develop a novel Multi-Technology Multi-Domain Data-Plane (MDP) overhauling the reliability and time sensitiveness design features existing in current wired and wireless standards. A challenge that the partners involved face with enthusiasm and determination.
PREDICT-6G consortium, led by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), consists of 17 prominent partners from seven European countries: Spain (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Ericsson España S.A., Telefónica Investigación y Desarrollo S.A., ATOS IT Solutions and Services Iberia S.L., ATOS Spain S.A., GESTAMP Servicios S.A., Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), Hungary (Nokia Solutions and Networks KFT), Germany (Intel Deutschland GMBH), Italy (Nextworks, Politecnico di Torino, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Universita degli Estudi di Padova), Greece (Cognitive Innovations Private Company), Romania (Software Imagination & Vision SRL), Estonia (MTU AUSTRALO Alpha Lab), UK (Interdigital Europe LTD).
